Vanessa MacDonald 25/09/1966 – 21/04/22

Vanessa joined Horder Healthcare as a Chef de Partie in the kitchen on 21st September 2015 at THC. Her passion was baking and she treated us to some gorgeous cakes in the Coffee Shop. She took a secondment to TMC starting 1st September 2020 where she flourished and was then promoted to Sous Chef from 4th January 2021.

With some underlying health issues Vanessa shielded for many months in the thick of the coronavirus pandemic. She was a very kind, gentle and thoughtful person, a great team member liked by all. Often adding her touch of cheeky humour when she attended the TMC morning huddles on Teams and reminding us to “Get you lunch orders in quickly or be disappointed!” Vanessa loved a bit of light-hearted banter and always offered a cheery word and smile.

A very tough loss for both Catering Teams and close colleagues as well as the whole of the Horder family, Vanessa lived out our organisations values and was a truly lovely lady!
