Trudy Williams

This Book of Remembrance has been set up by The Ajuda Foundation, in memory of our muched loved colleague and friend Trudy Williams.

On 10th August 2022, Trudy was involved in a car accident and was fatally injured.

Trudy was part of a very close family and community, she was a dear friend and role model to many.  She was always ready to help anyone in need and offer a friendly non-judgemental ear.

Some of you may have been in school or university with Trudy.  Others will have worked with her at The National Education Show or The Mental Health & Wellbeing Show.  You may have been part of Trudy’s large friendship/family circle.  I’m sure you will agree how lucky we were to have known her and how special she was.

We invite you to write any condolence messages or share your memories in this book, which will be presented to Trudy’s Family.

Trudy is much missed and her memory will live on though us all.

Dear Trudy We only knew you a short time as you supported our attendance at the Mental Health and Wellbeing Show in May 2022. We will be going back in May 2023 and that is a testament to how you made us feel and the success of the event. You was a joy to know and we loved meeting you on the day of the event, nothing was too much trouble. We were completely devastated to hear of your very sad passing, gone far, far too soon. You will be very much in our thoughts in May 2023 and we send you great big hugs wherever your spirit is. All our love from Meee.  …

I was so very shocked and deeply sad to hear about the loss of Trudy.  I got to know Trudy during the pandemic lockdowns through her work organising online mental health workshops.  I was therefore delighted to meet Trudy at the Mental Health and Wellbeing show in May which Trudy played a key role in organising.  What came across through getting to know Trudy was her warmth, her kindness and her passion to make the world better for people affected by mental ill health.  RIP Trudy – you will remain in my thoughts and will be very much missed x …

Dearest Trudy, I have taken a while to write in here, as im still truly lost for words. But here goes: You came into my life at the tender age of 23, I remember your interview well, you were wearing what you refered to as “your teacher clothes” which you also wore at every live event too, we giggled about that.. You were not just a collegue, but a dear friend too. We had quite a few laughs over the years, and a few tears too (the tears usually came at our events) this is because you cared so much. You knew every single clients name, you made time for everyone. I remember the excitment on your face when I said you could have the dogs at our last event, you loved aminals. You were smart, intelligent, witty, kind & compasionate, you cared about everyone, you were a great role model and advocate for mental health. You looked after your own mental health by running, which you were so good at. I will miss you every day, running events will be hard without you, but im determined to carry on your legacy and finish what we started.  Fly high …

I’m so sorry to hear about Trudy losing her life.  She was an asset to Aduja; my contact with Trudy was through the recent MHW show in May 2022.  This was so well organised and had great hwyl.  My team at Breathe Counselling Project made many connections that day and after, which will be the start of more ideas and joint projects.  That will be Trudy’s legacy, the growth of joint working and expansion of mental health projects in South Wales. Please pass on my condolences to her family and friends. …

So hard to find the right words to say.  One thing I will never forget is the silly chats we had that ended up with us literally belly laughing and tears running down our faces.  Your laugh was infectious and unforgettable and once we started laughing we found it hard to stop.  We even got told off for laughing more than once in the office lol.  Who is going to finish the lyrics when i start singing a random song and quote random facts to me?  Without which, I’ll never be able to text in and guess the year correctly on Nation Radio in the mornings.   Trudy, you were most definitely taken away too soon and will be missed every day.  I feel honoured to have had you as my close friend and I will always think of the good times.  I’ll even drink a can of can of Carling for you (without a glass). Rest in Peace my friend xxx …
