I have personally worked with David since 1994 and he was the nicest gent you will ever meet. David was a loyal, dedicated and top guy who has been taken way too soon and will be sorely missed not only by those colleagues who worked beside him but by the Firm as a whole. David’s knowledge in the management of properties and in particular the relationship and trust he built up over the years with his clients was invaluable.  He will be sadly missed, my thoughts are with Jane and the family.  …

I had the pleasure of working with David at Graham & Sibbald for a short period of time. David was a joy to be around and was without a doubt one of the nicest guys I had the pleasure of working with. He was incredibly patient with my bombardment of questions on a daily basis and always had time to help others. He will be sorely missed by a lot of people but will be remembered as a genuine nice guy. …

David was a lovely man, so positive and always happy to chat, in between eating his pastries and chocolates!  It was only last month i had spoke with David where he was hopefully he would be returning to work the following week. I was shocked and saddened to hear about David’s passing, he will be missed in the Edinburgh office.  Thoughts are with the family at this difficult time.  …

I was so saddened to hear the news about David. I had the pleasure of working in the room directly beside David at Manor Place for a number of years and i have to say there was never a raised word that came from his room (unlike mine!). He had such a lovely nature and was a true gentleman and always happy to help. He will be so sadly missed by the G+S family and in particular his colleagues in the Edinburgh office and Property Management team. My thoughts are with you Jane and the family at this sad time.  …

David Ross.

I had the great pleasure of working with David, when he first started with G+S, in the early 1990’s, when we both worked on the Employment Service Contract and then again on the Co-op Contract. He was a truly genuine guy, always willing to help and taking great pride in his work. I know he was an avid West Ham  United supporter and we would often talk about his Team. I know he loved going to Dalwhinnie on holidays, with the Family and  that he was a very keen runner — extremely fast. I remember one year, when several of the G+S Glasgow Staff, were running the Glasgow 10K Run, David went for a run before the main race and still completed the race in under 40mins –what an achievement.  He will be very sadly missed …

I always enjoyed popping into your room in Manor Place to discuss Cricket or your next big run. My favourite memory is still your “cat” like performance as goalkeeper for the G+S Edinburgh five a side team. A True Gentleman. Jane my thoughts are with you and the boys.  …

David’s was one of the first faces I met when I first joined G+S. He was always warm, accommodating, friendly and someone who I know everyone thought as one of the good guys. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him. I am so deeply sorry for your loss.  …

I was deeply saddened to hear of David’s passing. I only had the pleasure of meeting David on a few accasions and I found him to be extremely friendly, patient and helpful. He was an absolute gentleman and a truly exemplary colleague, held in the highest regard by everyone he worked with. He will be greatly missed by all the team at Graham and Sibbald. My sincere condolences to all the Simmons family.   …

I am very sorry to see the news of the passing of David. Although I have not had any recent contact with him, for at least 10 years, during the late 2000’s and into 2010’s, he was our main contact at G&S for all things Co-op related. He was a huge help with tenancy details, EPCs and access arrangements.   I am sure he will be hugely missed. Our condolences to his family and all at Graham and Sibbald.   Kind regards   Shaun   Shaun Vigers Director SVA Property Auctions Ltd …
