On the morning of January 5th, 2021, our beloved Simone Bresi-Ando transitioned from this physical realm. We were not expecting her departure and are heartbroken in the space that was hers.

Simone was a force who moved through life uplifting and empowering those in her path. The liveliness of her spirit combined with her tenacity and drive will continue to inspire us in her absence.

We are deeply moved by the outpouring of love expressed by so many across the world, and from all areas of her life.

While we engage in handling her affairs, we appreciate your patience and consideration. We will provide updates as they become available.

Warmest Regards,

The Bresi-Ando Family

Simone, you were the first little sibling I remember being born amongst my childhood friends, I remember your cry being chosen for the sound of our baby Jesus in our nativity play just a short time after you arrived and in you a star was literally born.  You went on to shine your light on all those you met in life and obviously leave a light of love for others to follow. Rest in peace beautiful.  Heartfelt condolences to the Bresi-Ando family. xXx   …

Simone was a force to be reckoned with, a strong, confident, intelligent, pure and beautiful soul as I remember her.  I was lucky enough to be in the same class at Prendergast with her and shared many happy memories.  She was the one I would never win a debate against.  She was our one and only Head Girl, true to form, a light, a beacon, a leader who has left us far too soon. Sending love and heart felt condolences to the Bresi-Ando family. Gone but never to be forgotten. She will be truly missed. Rest in perfect paradise Beautiful Simone xxx …

🌺Wishing you peace to bring comfort, courage to face the days ahead and loving memories to forever hold in your heart. Although no words can take away the sorrow that you bare, may it be comforting to you to know that others care. As long as you keep someone in your heart, their beautiful spirit will live on forever🌹 We last met Simone at one her uncle’s funeral in 2014 in London.  She was her bubbly usual self and it a shame we are not going to see your infectious laughter and how you light up every dark room with your presence.  We all love you, but God loved you more! Our thoughts and prayers are with the Bresi-Ando family in this difficult time🙏🏽   Uncle Charles & Emelia Obiri (Milton Keynes) …

In such confusing times, what I know for sure is the positive impact you left on so many women and your legacy which will continue to flourish. You were a brilliant woman, thank you for the inspiration and motivation.  …

I didn’t know Simone personally, but the community she created on Facebook was one of the first groups I joined to feel like I “belonged”. It gave me a feeling of community, something I have struggled with in my social circles. I learnt so much from her words and from the page she created. Thank you for giving and connecting. Love & prayers. …

I met Simone years ago in London when she was putting on a poetry event. It was brief, but her aura was so bright. Fast forward years later, I joined her Facebook group,  ‘I’mPossible’. I loved the messages disseminated within the group, and I’m all for our Black women and Black  girls voices to be heard. The group for me is a safe space of unapologetic united Black womanhood differing narratives and our representations in the world. I wasn’t aware that Simone had started the group, but I wasn’t surprised when I found out! Simone laid a beautiful foundation for our voices to be heard in a world where we are invisible, maligned and where our narratives are constantly dismissed. She will always remain a force of inspiration to me. May her life always be celebrated. May her beautiful legacy be carried on.  She will be greatly missed. Ase💜🙏🏿💜     …
