Sarah

Sarah Cunliffe

Sarah was a much loved and valued team member at Perennial. We were all very sad to hear of her passing, and her colleagues wanted the opportunity to share some of their thoughts and memories of Sarah with you.

Please accept our sincere condolences for your loss.

I’ve worked with Sarah on the debt advice team for 4 years. She made me feel very welcome when I started. We are definitely missing her efficiency and no nonsense attitude! Sarah was always interested in other people and their families, always asking about them, and she loved to tell us all about her own family. Hope you’re having a ball up there, Sarah, although, I know that’s a given!  …

I didn’t know Sarah for long, only in the four or so years I’ve worked at Perennial. But during those years she never failed to brighten my spirits and make me smile. She was always positive and never let events darken her days.  I loved to hear about Sarah’s holidays and trips to Chester Zoo and Lytham St Annes with her family. I even had to say hello to Talula the spider at the Zoo, at her request. The last time we spoke she was telling me about her planned trip to Chester Zoo with her family.  Sarah made me feel so welcome when I started at Perennial and eased me over a couple of bumpy patches in my first couple of weeks.  Sarah cared about people and brought a smile to those she met. I will miss her and think of her every time I have an Ice Cream at Lytham St Annes.   …

If you asked me to describe Sarah, I would say she was the lady who was usually smiling, laughing or had a look in her eye like she was thinking of something amusing, maybe that was just when she looked at me. Although not a direct member of her team I knew she was an effic ient and experienced lady who carried out her role professionally and was always happy to help. It was obvious her debt colleagues held her in high regard and knew they could rely on her to support them and our service users to the best of her ability.  The last time I saw Sarah was at a team meeting. I remember walking in and could see her laughing away with the others while waiting for everyone to arrive. I sat next to her, probably because she always made me feel welcome. The topic was of course, holidays, as it often was, and she was due to be jetting off soon with her friends to a sunnier climate. She mentioned that she would wear her swimwear and anything else she could get on under her travel clothes to save time and money. 🙂 To this …
