In Loving Memory of

rachelportrait

Rachel Webber

On Wednesday, 30th November 2022, our colleague and friend, Rachel Webber sadly passed away.

Rachel had been with us at WTW for over 25 years, working from both our Ipswich and London offices, including working in the Chairman’s Office as a PA.

A gracious and kind lady with a wicked and slightly naughty sense of humour, Rachel was a great lover of nature, her garden and the theatre.

Rachel will be greatly missed by all her friends and associates.

Rest in peace Rachel.

Rach, What a joy and privilege it has been to know you. Such a genuine, considerate and kind friend. I will always cherish the chats in which we would put the world to rights. Thank you Rach. I will miss you hugely. …

I only got to know Rachel over the past two years and we talked about all sorts of things.   We used to speak about the birds we could see in our gardens and what gardening Rachel was doing.  Most of all, we had the same sense of humour and she made me laugh.  She was a lovely lady and is missed.   …

Another one gone to soon. Like many others, I only worked closely with Rachel while Shaping our Future was collaborating with Willis Re, other than that she was always a smiling face you’d see around the building. During that time Rachel was always willing and helpful even at the last minute and in areas she may not have been familiar with, which was typical of her nature. It was nice to know and work with you, gone but not forgotten, May you rest in peace. Tapps …

Dear Rachel, always kind, always caring and considerate.  Your jokes and your ‘observations’ always made me laugh.  You always made sure I was ok.  Despite the whole Covid thing, you always checked in with me.  You always made time to ask about me, my family and my life.  Our time is so fragile and precious.  I can hardly believe you are gone.  Love Gavin x …

So sad that Rachel has passed well before her time.  We met through the “Shaping Our Future” project many years ago and up until the Covid lock-down we often shared lunch in the WTW canteen with the usual gang.  I can certainly vouch for the naughty sense of humour and proud to have helped encourage it!  I have fond memories of those project days and Rachel was such a large part of it.  She will be greatly missed.  RIP x …

I was shocked and saddened to hear about Rachel’s passing. Although I never worked directly with Rachel, I got to know her outside the WTW building having a smoke over the years. We always said hello to each other and had a chat. I will remember her lovely smile she always she gave me whenever our paths crossed and was not possible to speak. May you rest well Rachel, you will be missed.   …
