Dear Paul, when I met you for the first time during a training I was overwhelmed by your insight into human nature from the first moment. Dear Mrs. Jarvis Paul and I had co-taught many Siemens Account Management training courses. After the first course we understood each other. We both knew what each one of us would reliably contribute complementing each other. It was a pleasure. Our conversations span beyond business. We talked about family, children, hobbies, plans for Christmas and summer vacation and even explored synergy collaborating. We had opportunities doing so in plush and other hotels in cities like Lisbon or Prague or Berlin, eating at places we would not have detected without our working together and also in long and frequent taxi rides.   It is sad to know that this won’t happen again and it is difficult to imagine what the loss means to you and your family. I offer you my sincere condolences. …

Throughout my time working for Siemens, Paul and I met quite often when either designing or leading trainings for the key account managers. Each time we met, there were fulfilling discussions to be had and often a beer or two. 😉 The last time, we discussed our passion for sailing and how excited he was for his new sailboat. I will always be thankful for the time we spent during our long working hours, having good coversation and passing the time by expanding key account management competencies.  …

Paul was a congenial partner to one of my customers in a project about 3 years ago. When I met him face-to-face some time later I liked him from the first moment on and understood well why the customer appreciated him so much. I am still deeply impressed by his openness and gentle friendliness which made it easy for me to connect with him and wish to send my sincere and most respectful condolences to his family.  …

Paul was one of the few people in my life who were both guide and great friend, in addition to our professional business relationship at Siemens, where he was one of our lead facilitators and also lead training designers for our Key Account Management Program. Paul’s kindness and understanding, his guidance and insights, his humor and unique way of seeing the world and putting things into a different perspective… I could always rely on him and trust his judgement, ideas and advice, whether it was in our work together or in our discussions about life and the world in general. His intelligence, wit and charm, paired with a caring heart made him a great friend. He was a huge inspiration and guide, a unique and precious personality and human being. His loss is a terrible tragedy and an incredible pain. I will never forget Paul, and I will cherish the precious memories and keep him in my heart forever. My deepest sympathies and condolences go out to you, Mrs Jarvis, and to your family. My thoughts are with you and your family during this difficult time. …

Dear Paul, thinking about our joint trainings I remember quite a lot of situations I still smile about. I remember your positive, calm and yet intense temper. I admired your way to get access to your class, feeling the nuances and the hidden agenda of your participants. You did great work and left an unforgettable impression on me. Thank you so much for sharing your time and your wisdom with me. In deep mourning, Thorsten …
