So sad to hear of the passing of our Aunty Noreen. Although I had not seen Aunty Noreen for many years I still have very fond memories of her visits to Cashel.  She was a lady of boundless energy, a great personality and a wonderful Mother. When she and my Mum Lena got together the laughing and blaggarding was wicked.  I know my own Mum treasured these times. Extending our sympathies to Phil and all the family. May she Rest in Peace. Dear Mum,  Thanks for being such a wonderful Mum. I shall miss going for a drive together whilst blaring out your favourite Irish music & classic FM. I’ll miss not hearing “you bastar*, let me out” whenever I drive over a speed bump. I’ll miss our Saturday lunches in your favoured cafés and Sunday drives, walks around the park and watching TV & music videos together. I’ll miss feeding you chocolate buttons, biscuits, cake and slices of your favourite fruit – apple pie! Above all else, I’ll miss your smile, your laugh, your quick wit. Thanks for being such a wonderful, kind, funny, brave, perfect Mum. Loved & Remembered Always! Your Son, Michael.xxx       …

You will be so missed Nan. You leave us all with happy memories and phrases – none of us will ever be able to resist a bargain without saying “well you couldn’t leave it there for that!”. Lots of love, Sarah x Jackie KayDarling You might forget the exact sound of her voice,Or how her face looked when sleeping. You might forget the sound of her quiet weepingCurled into the shape of a half moon, When smaller than her self, she seemed already to be leavingBefore she left, when the blossom was on the treesAnd the sun was out, and all seemed good in the world.I held her hand and sang a song from when I was a girl – Heil Ya Ho Boys, Let her go BoysAnd when I stopped singing she had slipped away,Already a slip of a girl again, skipping off,Her heart light, her face almost smiling. And what I didn’t know, or couldn’t see then,Was that she hadn’t really gone. The dead don’t go till you do, loved ones. The dead are still here holding our hands. …
