Neill Cahill

Neill was an exceptional teacher, leader, friend and colleague; we feel blessed that he spent the last 6 years with us as part of the Vyners community.  His absence is being felt and he is painfully missed.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Neill’s immediate friends and family.

My son was fortunate to have you as his English teacher at Vyners. Although English was not my son’s favorite subject, you never gave up on him. You were always there to support him and had always seen the best in him. I still remember the last time I spoke to you in school with my son on GCSE result day – full of energy and positivity. We feel lucky my son got to know you at Vyners. You will be forever loved and painfully missed in our hearts.   You meant so much to everyone around you You were special and there is no lie Your lesson brightens up the darkest day And the cloudiest sky   Many tears we have seen and cried They have all poured out like rain I know you are happy now And no longer in any pain …

We are so sorry to hear that somebody so young and genuinly so kind is not with us anymore. Mr Cahill taught both of my children over the years and I had the priviliage to meet him at parents’ evenings. Such a dedicated, warm hearted and kind gentleman, who trully cared about the children. My heart goes out to his family and friends! Please accept our deepest sympathy and we wish all your loving memories of him to help you though this difficult time. He will never be forgotten. Rest in peace Mr Cahill. Melinda, Richard, Edward and Jennifer Holden …

Firstly I would like to offer my condolences to the family, friends & colleagues of Mr Cahill.  I met Neill Cahill only once and he left a huge impression on me and my family.  It was our first parents evening and we were there to talk about Emily’s progress. He was absolutely wonderful with Emily. He was so empathetic, so encouraging and so very kind. He had such a wonderful way with young people. He told her what a wonderful difference she was making and how much potential she had. He actually bought tears to my eyes. What a very kind and decent man. I could see that shining out of him.  I am so glad I met him and my daughters knew him and were taught by him.  I have never forgotten that meeting. I am so very sorry to hear of his passing.   Emilia, Fran, Emily and Mollie …
