I only knew Michaela for a year and a half, but that relatively short amount of time was enough to know she was one of the kindest, most genuine people I have ever met. I often referred to Michaela as my ‘oracle’ at NAS, as she knew everything, everyone, and would help solve any problem big or small. Multiple times a day I go to talk to her or ask her a question, only to remember she isn’t here anymore. My thoughts and prayers are with her family at this time and I am thankful for the joy she brought to me and so many others. I have chosen to remember Michaela by planting a rose for her, of a shade similar to the pink ‘Michaela’ rose variety. May her memory bring love. …

Michaela truly was a ray of sunshine- every interaction with her was a joy. Although I was only fortunate enough to work with Michaela for a little over a year, I will always remember fondly how she welcomed me with such warmth during our first meeting together and made me feel excited to be working with such lovely colleagues. A truly remarkable person who will have such a lasting impact on so many. Thinking of the family at this very difficult time. …

Michaela was one of lifes truely wonderful people who touched and brightened the lives of everyone she came into contact with.  She was always kind and genuine and went above and beyone to help where ever she could.  I remember her from the Nottingham office and how we would would share stories about our cats and how they ruled our lives and would laugh about the little quirks they had, laughing about how we would do anything to please them. She had a life well lived and will be missed by everyone who knew her   …

Michaela was a very close colleague but more than this she was a great friend & my go to person. I struggle to put into words the shock and sadness I feel. Michaela was a huge part of our team and this has effected everyone greatly. Michaela was kind and caring, alway super supportive, sending words of encouragement or funny memes, and in all of our conversations we always ended up laughing at some point, sometimes crying with laughter! Michaela was always positive, even when she wasn’t happy about something, and I will always smile and think of her when I see a badger, (I still laugh at how she ended up adopting & feeding a family of wild badgers and the videos I saw of these!) plus of course her love of cats! Michaela I’ll miss you everyday at work, and I will miss our calls, messages, memes and jokes. Sending you lots of love, I hope you are at peace now. My thoughts are with David, family & close friends xxxx  …

I have the fondest memories of working with Micheala, always smiling and laughing, nothing was ever too much trouble and I marvelled at the amount she could fit into two days. It was always lovely to catch up in person and have a coffee.  Will miss her, one of the loveliest people I had the pleasure to work with x …

I am very sorry to hear about Michaela’s death. I will always remember her and she will have a place in my heart, remembering our Teams calls together. She was the Queen of policies! It was during Covid, that I first got to know Michaela as I was supporting the SharePoint site she worked on. We used to have lovely Team’s calls where we would laugh about trying to work out how to do something on SharePoint and we talked about what we were up to at home. Michaela used to sit at the kitchen table with her big smile which always lit up my day. I will miss you dear Michaela but I will never forget you. Much love to your family and friends xx …
