Matthew Cromer

Matthew joined the Nespressso Dublin Boutique team just over ten years ago, initially as a temporary Coffee Specialist, progressing as a Stock Controller and then to Senior Coffee Specialist in Duke St.

My deepest condolences to everybody suffering with Matthew’s loss – my thoughts are with you all. Cromer was a great guy, one of the most genuine people I have ever met. My lasting memories will probably be of 5AM stock takes and playing Xbox in the break room, he could make your day just by being there. His priority was always to make sure that everybody was OK – he often pulled me aside and asked me to check-in with colleagues when he felt they needed support. I was in Duke St at Christmas, I only spoke with Matthew for a few minutes – but all he wanted to talk about was his family.   …

Ingrid Facchim and Dundrum team

I met Matt Cromer probably a bit after I joined Nespresso almost 6 years ago, and had the opportunity to work beside him in Duke street during some of the pandemic months. I will always remember his friendly face and how easy it was for him to create conversations with everyone around – He was such a kind presence, and anyone could see that he had a huge heart – that will be forever in our memories. We all in Dundrum are heartbroken and wishing strenght and confort to the family and close friends; Matt was a dear colleague and will be missed very much for everyone that has crossed paths with him. RIP Matt, much love from our hearts  …

CROOOMER!!! I will miss shouting down the hallway in search of Matthew as he appears from somewhere completely different leaving me wondering… How?  I recall a recent quote I shared with Matthew which he really resonated with and made it a thing where we ask one another, ‘a good man or a great man?’ He preferred to be remembered as a good man because not all great men are in actuality good men. I choose to remember him to be a Beautiful Gentle Man. Rest In Power Matthew. …

I only met Matt a few times recently working in the Dublin Boutique and he took me under his wing . He  was so funny and energetic and a man of so many different talents . He showed me pics of his beautiful family and it was clear he was a doting loving family man who was so proud of his family and with so many achievements in life at a young age .His Humor is what made me remember him so much as everything he said was so genuinely laugh out loud  funny, honest and real . I am deeply saddened by this news and my thoughts go to his Family and his Girls and his close colleagues who saw him as Family. What a great guy. Rest in Peace Matt xx  …
