Linda Callender

We have created this book to share memories of our lovely colleague and friend, Linda. Once complete we will share these memories with her family so they can read just how special she was to us all.

Please share any memories that you are comfortable with sharing.

Lovely Linda, I know I only met you earlier this year but I felt like I had known you forever. I always looked forward to seeing your lovely smile when you walked in the office and always enjoyed our chats about absolutely anything and everything. You never failed to amaze me, especially when you used to show me your latest gardening projects. You lit up any room you entered and you made THE BEST cakes and scones! I feel so lucky to have so many fab memories with you, especially in London in the Summer and you didn’t fail to bring some delicious treats for us all!   Rest easy Linda, you will be hugely missed! Wow Linda, so many lovely messages have been left for you and your family. I knew that you were a well liked and loved colleague but seeing so many people express this is so heart warming. Like so many others, I was lucky enough to have you support me with fundraising for charities close to my heart, one of which became a regular receiver of your kindness. You have baked so many tasty delights for so many people over the years and always with a smile on your face. I know that you continued to support 4LOUIS with volunteer days, knitting little hearts for their memory boxes and even more baking to raise vital funds. You made blankets for the SANDs memory boxes and make weekly baked treats for the local hospital to keep the wonderful NHS staff going throughout the pandemic. You have touched so many peoples lives and hearts with your kindness. My greatest memory of you will be the two little cardigans that you made for my baby girl. One that she wore in the hospital and was later made into a cushion for me to hug when I miss her. You always tried to help …

Our endless chats about everything and anything! From your tips to help my useless gardening, to tales of you & John on the lash. Guidance with Isabella, to updates on your beloved boys and how well they were all doing. You were so kind, no matter who or what – nothing was ever a problem. You cared so much. I will forever cherish the memories, the support and love you have shown me, Sam and Isabella. Thank you! I’ll bloody miss you. Rest easy Linda, love you x …

Linda you were one of the first people I met when I joined Worldpay as your Team Manager.  You immediately made me feel welcome and at ease making being the newby a better experience. We immediately developed a lovely friendship and even when I moved Teams we kept in touch and chatted daily.  You always joined in Team events dressing up getting into the spirit of everything.  If I was working at the other side of the office you would always take time to leave a bit of cake/sausage roll or treat on my desk.  Im so please we had the chance to spend time together on our recent trip to London to Cirque de Soliel we chatted all the way there and back and were never short of something to talk about.  Loved your smile and wicked sense of humour.  You will be sorely missed by so many. many.  Fabulous memories Love always Jackie …
