In Loving Memory of

Kristie Forrest

Kristie Forrest

We have all lost a good friend and colleague in Kristie Forrest.  She has left an indelible impression on everyone that she has worked with or who knew her.  Kristie was there for everyone: through her immense talents for delivering imaginative yet practical work solutions in the most complex situations; through her sense of humour which always lifted the dreariest of meetings and the darkest of days; through her humanity in understanding the pressures people around her were under, and an uncanny ability to anticipate and then help; or through her instinct to care for all those around her, building a trusting and sharing environment.

Many of you will have your own memories.  Losing someone so young is terribly sad and hard to come to terms with.  But she has left a legacy that we can keep in our minds and our hearts.  This book provides all of you with the chance to capture the memories that form that legacy and to share with her husband Wayne and her family the love and sense of loss that we all share for Kristie.

Wayne, we cannot appreciate the pain you are feeling now.  But knowing that Kristie remains in all our hearts too will, we hope, help to keep her memory alive.

Wayne and family, so sorry for your loss.  I got to know Kristie over the past year working together.  She was an amazing person and always happy to help.  She was so easy to warm to and get along with, direct when she needed to be, but in a way that people couldn’t say …

Wayne, Words can not describe how amazing Kristie was and what an impact she had on my life (and everyone around her). It’s funny how the universe brings people from completely different backgrounds together and they just ‘click’. She got me listening to a wide array of music and attending more concerts than ever, …

This has been incredibly sad news Wayne, Kristie was fully alive, excitable, chatty and super passionate about her work in our short time working together at HS2. Pre-Covid she was sooo excited to be getting married and building more adventures with you and we shared stories of second families and the ups and downs …
