18th January, 2023 marks the Second Anniversary of Kenneth‘s passing.

We can’t believe that it is Ken’s anniversary, come so soon. We miss you Ken. On our last visit we had several chats relating to you and your dearest wife, Mavis Newman-Smart. You may have gone but your living examples of life experiences will not be forgotten. You did your job on earth and now that period of goodwill ended suddenly. ” Good men must die, but death cannot kill their names” – Proverb. Ken, it’s hard to believe that a year has already passed since God called you home. Our hearts are still heavy but the sweet memories of your humor and kindness bring a smile to our faces amidst the tears. I remember the day when I visited Ken & Mav and to my surprise I saw Ken with a full face of white beard. Of course, the name ” Father Christmas ” sprung up and that formed the highlight of the visit- with much bantering and teasing. Our ” Father Christmas” is now our angel in heaven looking down and consoling Mav, Karl, Kirsten and the grand-children. Notwithstanding, I am sure you and my old man are still in the ” teasing/provoking” business up there. Ken, the days we spent with you were incredible!
