Deepest condolences …

Gill and John Henderson

Our sincere condolences go to Eirwin, Fiona and Robert. We have known John and Eirwin since the 1960’s.  John was a kind and gentle person who was always ready to make you smile and laugh about something.  He believed in old fashioned manners and his style was classical.  He was very much a traditionalist and adored his family.  He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. …

Pat Hackett

I first met John at his 21st birthday party in November 1959 and on his 80th birthday card I was pleased to be able to record that I still counted him as a good friend.  He was a very kind and likeable person who I am sure is going to be missed by all who knew him.  I shall remember always the way he greeted you with a hug and a smile. The photo was taken in 2004 at a Jazz and Fireworks event in Oundle.  John is sitting next to another dear friend also lost recently – Alan Ward.  John and Alan were always available as dance partners when Grace, Yvonne and I attended Victor Sylvestors classes over the Majestic Cinema in Wembley High Road.  Such happy memories.  Rest peacefully dear John.  Love from Pat …

Remembering John a kind and gentle man who was always pleased to see you. He was part of the OLD Gang from Wembley who appreciated Jazz. Hence the photograph from a windy day at Bracklesham Bay Jazz weekend. Sadly missed but always remembered with fondness. Love to all your family     …

Carol & Nigel Dimmock

Remembering John, a dear friend who first came into our lives in the 1960’s. Alongside other friends, we formed a tight little friendship group. Nigel particularly remembers Christmas’s at Butlins with the lads (the less said the better!). Eventually we all settled down with our life long partners, attending each others weddings and settling down with our young families. We’d meet in each others houses every so often for a meal, or maybe a game of cards – that’s all we could afford at the time! Over the years we’ve enjoyed many gatherings to celebrate special birthdays and anniversaries. We have such lovely memories that will stay with us forever. Fondest love Carol & Nigel …
