Memories of

Hugh Wood photo

Hugh Wood

Hugh Wood (1932-2021)

The composer, writer and teacher Hugh Wood was a University Lecturer at the Faculty of Music in Cambridge, and Fellow and Director of Studies of Churchill College, from 1977 until his retirement in 1999. Since his death on 14 August 2021 the number of affectionate tributes and stories has suggested that a book of condolence, memories and celebration of his life in Cambridge and elsewhere would be welcomed by colleagues, friends, former students and combinations of all three.

We invite you to contribute your recollections of an inspirational teacher and much-loved friend.
