Memories of

20180516_174523

Gavin Royce Cox

In memory of our friend and colleague, Gavin, who passed away on the 19th August.

This is a book of memories and thoughts of Gavin, allowing his colleagues to express their condolences to his loved ones.

We will recall with fondness the care he always showed to others, as well as his profound love for sport (particularly rugby and skiing).

A Kiwi by birth, he was proud to live in Southfields in South West London, and was an active & admired member of the Church and Wimbledon RFC communities.

Dear Kitty and family, my deepest sympathy for your loss. Even though I had last worked with him years ago, Gavin always had time for a chat and a laugh when we passed each other in the office. He will be greatly missed. My thoughts are with you and my deepest condolences go to you and your family. Steve. …

My condolences for your loss. Gavin was a very friendly and kind hearted person. I had the opportunity to work with him on a number of projects. My memory is that I was always after him for all sorts of approvals and he was always on the run ………..just to tease me. 🙂 Nothing can fill the void of his physical existence. I hope that the “Happy Memories of Gavin’s Love and Affection” helps to show how much his colleagues appreciated him, and can help fill a gap in the lives of his loved ones. I will always remember Gavin as a very smart, young man with a smile on his face and a pair of glasses on his head (of course!) 🙂 …

When Gavin joined the Release Management Team, he was a breath of fresh air and brought so much fun to the team.  Always enjoyed a ‘chat’ and I will certainly remember those times with great fondness.  Gavin had an amazing life with you, Kitty, and with the boys, he always spoke about you all with such love and pride.  I am thinking of you all at this very difficult time but know you have so many wonderful times you can talk about together.  xx   …

What a great guy who will be dearly missed!  The value of a person can be guaged by the emptyness we feel when he is gone.  Gavin has left a gap that will be hard to fill, such a great guy, a good listener who was nice to be with.  I remember talking with him about our experiences, the kids and scouting and I could tell he was a man with a big heart who was dedicated to his family and friends.  We will miss you dearly and I am glad that I have known someone like you as a friend.  My deepest condolences to Kitty and the family, may your days be blessed with the good memories you shared. …

Dear Kitty and family, it was with great sadness that I learnt about Gavin’s death.  I am deeply sorry for your loss and I pass on my condolences to you at this very sad time.  I worked with Gavin on the Cheltenham programme and he was a great go-to person and problem solver.  He wasn’t shy of a robust conversation, but that’s exactly what was needed to move things along.  He definitely had his heart in the right place both professionally and personally.  Big hugs.  Ian. x …
