The world is a little bit quieter, a little darker and a lot less funny. Best bear hugger we ever had the priviledge of hugging. Anyone who ever sat with Frank, in a backyard on a warm night, anywhere in the world, glass in hand, Depeche Mode playing, will know how are hearts are feeling. An awesome travelling companion, always ready with interesting facts and history. Angie, Rox, Tristan and Teagan, our hearts are heavy and cannot imagine your pain. He loved you with everything he had. Frank was never more happy than talking about you guys, his whole being lit up. Rest in Peace Frank, may your passing be an inspiration for us all to remember to live our best lives right now. …

What a wonderful twenty years knowing Frank, Angela, Roxanne, Tristan and Teagan. From the days at BONY (who can forget the second office – the Spinnaker), Roxy’s birth, Hope Island, Brentwood and more recently the trips back to London have been fantastic. Frank has achieved alot in his lifetime, and will miss a good friend. …

I was always impressed by your knowledge in crypto and blockchain and thankful you gave up your time to inspire others. I wished we had an opportunity to work on these projects together further at Liqueo. You always did emit such a positive energy in those meetings and at the Liqueo gatherings over the 2 years I have known you. You will be dearly missed. …

Frank and I started our Liqeuo journey together on the same client site and immediately clicked. His sense of enthusiasm, eagerness to learn new things and his quick wit made him a joy to work with. I’ve only known Frank for 2 very short years, but he has left an indelible mark on me. A great colleague and friend. My condolences to his family, he was taken far too soon. I miss you, Frank. …

Frank was one of the first people to join the Liqueo journey and put his trust in us as a business. He was a completely inspiring individual to everyone in the business. For me he epitomised our values, our culture and symbolised exactly the type of individuals we want as part of the business. For those of us who knew Frank we will remember an amazing guy, full of energy, charisma and someone that would light up a room with his warmth and positivity. He was hard working , deeply knowledgeable and would be very generous with his time in sharing any knowledge he could and helping others in any way he could. The last time I saw Frank in person was at our Global meet up in June. I was honoured to present Frank our Award for being Liqueo’s Knowledge Champion of the Year and deservedly so. We have now decided as a business to honour Franks memory by renaming this award going forward to ‘The Frank Pretorious Award’. It’s obviously an extremley difficult time for them but we hope in time Angie, Roxanne, Tristan and Teagan find comfort knowing how loved and respected Frank was, and the …

Frank was a remarkable individual who touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know him. His warmth, kindness, and genuine love for people left an indelible mark on all of us. It was impossible not to be drawn to his infectious spirit and ability to brighten even the gloomiest days. Frank had the extraordinary gift of making everyone feel valued and loved, creating a sense of unity wherever he went. Frank’s character’s most remarkable aspects were his insatiable thirst for knowledge and his passion for sharing that knowledge with others. He approached learning with enthusiasm and joy, inspiring those around him to embark on their journeys of discovery. His presence illuminated any room he entered, not just because of his joyful demeanour but also because of the wealth of wisdom he willingly shared. Frank’s memory will forever live on in our hearts, and his loveable character will remain an integral part of the tapestry of our lives. Our deepest sympathies and love go out to Frank’s family and loved ones. Uyakhunjulwa ngu mnakwenu (You are missed by your brother)in isiXhosa. …
