It is with great sadness that staff and students at the University of Liverpool have learned of the sudden passing on 7th December 2020 of Ethan Williams, a second year Sociology, Social Policy and Criminology student.

We have lost a highly valued and engaged student who had a bright future ahead of him. He will be missed dearly.

We hope that staff and students in the Department of Sociology, Social Policy and Criminology will use this online Condolence Book to add their messages of condolences that we can pass on to Ethan’s family.

I was so sorry to hear of Ethan’s death. He was in my Social Exclusion module and was the only student who used the camera on occasions – I was so grateful for that. Ethan was an engaged, modest and friendly student who always tried hard to make a contribution to the discussion. He will be missed by staff and students alike.
