Eamonn was simply a terrific guy. A colleague and a friend to everyone, and having waited a few weeks to consider my thoughts I still can’t really believe I won’t see him again. Part of the professional and social fabric in the London office to a degree that is hard to overstate. Whether quietly focussed and concentrating on challenging work topics or unwinding after a long day with a pint of Harveys in hand he was always ready to help, to listen, or to offer ideas on everything from Investment Banking technology to Japanese. Just a lovely, thoughtful, intelligent man who is already, and will continue to be, much missed.  …

I first met Eamonn in April 2023 when I visited the London office for the first time. We quickly became very close and shared a lot of professional and personal memories together. He was quick to invite me to team events and was very welcoming. His kindness and gentle character made a big impression on all the people he met. Rest in peace, Eammon and thank you for all the memories. …

I have always told people that Friday is my favorite day in the office. Over the past few weeks, I have realised that this was and always will be inextricably linked to Eamonn. From the start of the day, when he would be playing music (usually Fleetwood Mac), through to our afternoon 1:1’s and an end of day beer, Friday was the day where we would catch up over the week that was concluding. Although our chats would start with work, they would invariably end up somewhere far from that. Whether it be to recommend music documentaries, London museums or our general lives, Eamonn was such an engaging person to chat to. His passion for a wider array of subjects shone through, ensuring you could never have a dull conversation with him. I miss having someone to talk to, bounce ideas off of or go for a quiet beer with, and Eamonn was the perfect person for that.   Eamonn, the office, the Two Brewers and the Barbican will never be the same without you. Rest in peace!   Love, Will …

Though it was a very short time that I worked with you Eamonn, I will miss hearing your voice opposite my desk and enjoying some after hour beers at the 2Bs !  May your soul rest in peace Eamonn. Deepest sympathies to the Bryne family.   …

Dear Eamonn    It has taken me a while to be able to write in this book and to be honest I still can’t believe that when I next go into the office you won’t be there sitting at your desk next to the window.    Eamonn you are truly a kindhearted beautiful soul, who genuinely cared about people at Genesis and passionate about delivering an amazing product to your clients.    You made sure the CustX team got together to celebrate after all their hard work with the brilliant “Pottery Throwdown” – in fact I have just been trying to find a picture of you from this event, but I think you were the one taking all the pictures! (And now I know you were a talented photographer as well as an accomplished potter!!)      I am missing our daily interactions (interesting chitchat and occasional “smoothie” next door) but at the same time I am deeply grateful we crossed paths, for our friendship and the absolute pleasure of working with you – thank you.     Sam x    (PS You know I will now have to go and visit the Barbara Hepworth museum next time I am in …

I only got to interact in short moments with Eamonn during video calls as I’m all the way in the US, but each time I felt his kindness. He was subtly funny and I enjoyed the brief chats I had with him. A genuinely kind-hearted and helpful person. I am sure he is missed by many people. I hope that all the good memories with him bring everyone comfort during this difficult time. …

When I first joined his team, Eamonn welcomed me with open arms and made me feel very at-home. I would always sit down and discuss mockups for our project with him, and he was very eloquent in his explanations to any questions I had. He took me in like I was his apprentice and I look up to him as he was an ideal role model, a person I would aspire to be. He had many interesting stories to tell, and he would always be interested in other people’s stories too, regardless of whether he had the time to or not. He was such a genuine down-to-earth and thoughtful man, and an idol to a lot of people. May his soul rest in perfect peace. …

Eamonn was my buddy when I joined Genesis in April 2022, and he was extremely helpful and welcoming to me. Whenever I went into the office I would always sit next to him, and he was a thoughtful and funny person to spend time with. We spent time discussing his love for Japanese culture, but over time we started to discuss other interesting topics such as wind patterns, and whatever other random topics we’d think of. His presence is missed greatly. Love Matt …

It was an honor to have known Eamonn. He was the kind of person who could brighten anyone’s day with his mere presence. I feel truly fortunate to have had the opportunity to work alongside him. May he rest in peace. …

I am from Brazil. When I joined Genesis, I showed up at internal meetings wearing an Iron Maiden shirt. He started talking to me about the band, told me he knew the bars where they started playing and kindly said he would show me where they were when I went to London. He was very kind to me without even knowing me daily or working side by side. I will remember this forever. …
