Dr. Paul Cadogan

I have known Sue since she joined the Veterinary Services Division as an Animal Health Assistant in 1989. Her bright, cheerful nature and enthusiasm for her work always stood out. When she became a Veterinarian she became not only a colleague but a friend. She and I would seek each other’s thoughts and advice on so many things. I’ll never forget her “HIIIIIII!!!” greeting on the phone. I will miss Doc Sue! Her bright smile, uplifting personality and sound counsel will remain with me. Her passionate contribution in the areas of food safety, public health and disaster preparedness, response and mitigation for our Caribbean animals will not be forgotten. She was truly a One Health veterinarian. To Dave, I know she was your rock and you hers, both grounded in the faith you shared. May you find peace and comfort in the memories as you move forward in life my friend. To Michele, her other siblings and extended family I wish the same. We will remember her! …

I worked with Dr Miguel on the National Codex Committee’s Secretariat between 2020 and 2021. We worked remotely mostly, but we bonded over the long nights and weekends we spent planning events, and vetting correspondences for World Food Safety Day.  She was always full of energy, pleasant and patient under pressure. Even after her assignment in Surinam, we kept in touch.  She was a true friend and a woman of God.  Rest in peace my friend, you have run the course, kept the faith and completed your assignment with honor. …
