A Book of Remembrance

Dr Musgrave

Dr Michael Stuart Musgrave

Michael was a brilliant GP who worked for Bupa at Kings Cross for many years. He worked with Bupa well into his 60’s and was a brilliant doctor, highly popular with his patients and his colleagues. He was a massive source of support and experience for his colleagues and was completely loved by his patients and those who worked closely with him. He will be sorely missed but his memory will live on through the tales we are able to tell about him.

Dr Luke Powles

When my LP role extended to BBH, Michael was quick to welcome me and offer his support. He truly embodied all the qualities of good doctor – wise, gentle, caring, empathetic, approachable and hugely supportive to everyone around him. He would always greet me and others with a warm and welcoming smile. He will be truly missed. …

Katy Crichton

Michael was much more than a Doctor but a true friend, gentleman and biggest advocate for his patients. He supported me and mentored me throughout my time in clinics and took so many of us ‘youngsters’ under his wing. I will always speak so highly of him. As Luke says, a true legend of BBH. …

Dr Melanie Hill

When I arrived at Bupa King’s Cross, I had no prior experience of working in the private sector and had never worked in London before. Michael was hugely supportive throughout my first year and has been missed since his retirement. I still meet customers at King’s Cross who talk fondly about him. …

Dr Luke James

Michael was a legend at BBH. When I arrived over 7 years ago now he was a massive source of support and experience. He was completely loved by his patients and as I am sure Katy will attest to people travelled internationally to see him each year for their Health assessment. …

I was lucky enough to work next door to Michael for many years at Bupa and I find it so very sad to have to write this condolence message. I wish I had the eloquence to convey what a great guy he was in words, and know how deeply he is missed by the many whom he met in the course of his life and career as well as his family. As said by others  – he was a very special man, with an open mind, great wisdom, deep spirituality, sense of duty, kindness, generosity and patience . He had many and varied interests that he would happily share but never bore anyone with. If this makes him sound like a paragon of virtue – rest assured he also had a wicked sense of humour, was always up for socialising and knew how to have fun! He was a wonderful colleague to work alongside for so long and count as a dear friend- he would look out for all of the team old and new and was a consummate professional. He was massively appreciated by me and all who met him. He deserved a much longer retirement than he …

Dr Musgrave was a great man and loved by all of us that worked with him. He welcomed everyone into the team  and taught so many of us so much, giving everyone all the time he could to help us in our roles. He was very much missed from Bupa when he retired, and is still spoken about to this day with brilliant memories. My condolences to his family at this time. Sophie  …

Dr Amilia Alifrangis

Michael was wonderful from the first day that I met him at Kings Cross health centre, welcoming me to the clinic and always being so respectful and kind. He was loved by the staff and patients, and was missed when he retired. Sending heartfelt condolences to you all at this time, Amilia  …

I had the pleasure of meeting Dr Musgrave twice over the last ten years as a patient at BUPA assessment sessions at Kings Cross. His skill and style were remarkable, friendly, relaxed and able to make one feel as though he had all the time in the world for you. Being about to book another assessment, I Googled to see if I could book with him once more, and was so sorry to read of his passing. Although I met him only for a couple of hours in total, he was someone I will always remember.  …

Sophie Thrussell

Dr Musgrave was a great man that welcomed anyone openly into the team, and certainly put myself at ease as a nervous Health Advisor during my first few months at Bupa. I used to spot Michael on my way into the clinic most morning enjoying a coffee and occasional crossaint at the lovely little French cafe near our building which always put a smile on my face to start the day! …
