The Caribbean College of Family Physicians and General Practitioners of Jamaica regrets the untimely passing of Dr Leon O. Vaughan. He transitioned on August 5, 2023. He was warm and pleasant and an expert in his field of medicine. The community has lost a giant and no doubt will be missed by both patients and colleagues. Condolences to his family, you are in our Prayers.

I learnt of Dr Vaughn’s passing and it has really hit me hard. He was my ophthalmologist. He was a caring, humble and diligent man who loved the Lord. He was not afraid to share his Christianity which he did openly as you walked into his office. As a patient you would be soothe by his gospel playlist which he played continuously. He spoke life and hope into his patient. I will truly miss him and will miss my eye check ups – that’s one doctor appointment I did yearly without hesitation. God bless those doctors who truly care and use what God has placed in their hands to minister to others. RIP Dr Vaughn – my condolences to his family, may the arms of Jesus give you comfort at this time. I am praying for you. …
