I am still in shock … the world has lost a character that’s for sure!  I don’t even know why I am writing on here because you aren’t here to see it anymore and that is gut wrenching.  We have known each other for nearly 25 years and we have shared some interesting moments … these memories will remain in my head forever xx I know how much you loved my japenese maples and wanted to steal them from my garden this year well here’s one to take with you xx Sleep well ………….     …

Sadly I didn’t get to know you at BCoT Dave, other than this big, burly guy who always smiled and said hello in the corridors…..clearly, a chance missed to get to know a much loved man who was fun, caring with the biggest personality and heart – you obviously made a huge impact on all those who were lucky enough to know you.  My condolences to all your family, friends and colleagues x  …

I first meet Dave in 1999 when I start at BSC as a trainee personal trainer. He had this hard out shell which scared you but once you got got know him he was a gentle giant inside. He always wanted you to achieve the best and gave you the confidence to achieve anything. Many years of fun and laughter were had working at BSC. Dave would always stop for a chat on the odd occasion of crossing paths. Most recently he was our sons lecture at BCOT. I never got the chance to thank you Dave for the all the help and support you offered him. Your impact has certainly help shape him.  You will never be forgotten Mr Finch a true legend.  …

Dave Finch……end of an era! Loud, Proud and in your face. When I was a rookie I looked up to Dave and those fantastic shorts he wore at the Sports Centre. He was the reason that my career started at Bst. Saddened by the news of his death far too soon. Rest in ever lasting peace Dave, your spirit is flying high amongst the angels, sending my love God Bless 🙏🏿 Alexis Dave, shocked and saddened by this news, back in the day of the Ultra fit where we were in the top 10 in the Uk and the sports centre was a team. The picture above was outside Woolworths back in the day when we had a big presence in the town and it was fantastic being part of it, Rest in eternal peace Rob x …

It was always nice working with Dave.  We stopped and had a chat about our students, didgussed intervention strategies as well as a general laugh. We invigilated exams each year together and swapped fitness notes, of course Dave was the champion in the gym.    I was saddened to hear the news of Dave’s passing . He will be missed by all those who had the pleasure of meeting and working alongside him.    Thank you for being humble Dave, for always making time to stop and chat with me. ❤     …
