In Memory of

2016 Colin

Colin Wood

Colin joined Capco in 2013 and was well known not only across teams HSBC & Morgan Stanley in the UK but also for his time spent in Capco India in 2015.

He was a dear colleague and friend who always had a robust and positive attitude to work.

His ability to build rapport with people and to lead teams was some of his most notable strengths.

He was one of the most loyal and diligent team members that you would ever come across and always one to share a good laugh and a joke.

Colin will always be remembered by his colleagues and friends for his career successes across Capco, and the clients and financial institutions he served over an amazing career.

My thoughts are with Colin’s family and his friends for the loss of a great person.  I encountered Colin during more informal occasions and events at Capco, though he left a lasting impression on me.  He exuded subtle wisdom, a calm demeanour and dry humour.  We shared a passion for motorsport and Tottenham Hotspur (for our sins…).  He had some fantastic travel stories too, and I’m glad he shared them with me and so many other colleagues at Capco.  I will be eternally grateful for the advice he gave, and I am sincerely glad to have met him. …

I was so sad to hear of the news of Colin’s passing.  Over the past 9 years Colin has contributed a huge amount to Capco and the client’s he worked tirelessly to deliver high quality outcomes for.  Never shy of sharing his thoughts on how we could do something better, Colin was a force for change and improvement in the business.  He will be greatly missed by all his colleagues, as is evident from all the lovely messages posted here.   …

Colin was undoubtedly one of the most determined, honest and creative consultants we have at Capco. His team and his clients always came first and he had a drive and dedication that meant they always thought the world of him.  He’ll be so sorely missed by us all and i only hope that by telling you how much of an impact he had on so many of us you will continue to find strength.  His memory will live on at Capco.  …

My deepest condolences to Colin’s family and friends for their loss. For my first 18 months at the firm Colin was the person I worked with most. Apart from being extremely professional and good at his job, Colin was just a great human being. He was able to connect and build strong rapports with the most senior people, yet at the same time also get really close to some of our most junior analysts in Bangalore. He was fun, always in positive spirits, and a genuine person who cared about others. My last conversation with him was just before Christmas, and we agreed that it is finally time to meetup for a pint. I deeply regret that it will now never come to that.  Colin – you will be deeply missed! …

My deepest condolences to Colins friends and family at this difficult time. Colin was my first manager in my career as a consultant and without him I don’t think I would have landed on my feet as well, succeeded in a very challenging project and had so much fun along the way. Colin was always so supportive, insightful, hilariously funny and an inspirational leader. He will be sorely missed but never forgotten. – Mike  …

My condolences to Colin’s family and friends during this time. I had the absolute pleasure of working with Colin at Capco and can honestly say, it’s the most fun I’ve ever had at a workplace. He created an atmosphere at work where you could be yourself, deliver for our clients, and make it fun, all at the same time. Even years after, I look back at the time I was lucky enough to spend with Colin and smile.  He had an enormous impact on me; both professionally and personally and I’ll truly miss catching up with him.   Guy …

I was privileged to have Colin assigned to me as my Coach when I joined Capco in 2019. From day one he made it abundantly clear that he would always be there for me and was someone that I could trust wholeheartedly. He was a calming influence for me in turbulent times, genuinely kind, a great listener and extremely supportive and measured with his advice and words of wisdom. We had many great conversations about work, motorsports and life in general which will be sadly missed. He has left a lasting impression on me both personally and professionally and has had an equally positive impact on many others at Capco, which will be part of his enduring legacy. I am terribly shocked and saddened to hear of Colin’s sudden passing and wish to express my sincere condolences to his family and friends at this incredibly difficult time.   With love JP …
