Jill Thomas, Floral Street Fragrances

It was always a real pleasure to work with Cheryl as she was such a lovely person. I know that she had been battling this illness for some time and I was always so impressed with how she managed to keep going with work, always maintaining a positive attitude and always with a smile too. I have lost my dad and a close friend to cancer so I know from experience that carrying on through the illness and also the treatments and their side effects is not an easy thing at all. We thought of her often in the recent months. Please do pass on my thoughts and sympathies to her family and also the team at Potter & Moore who I know will miss her greatly. …

Nick Dewsbury, Aromatherapy Associates

Cheryl was a delight to deal with and will be missed by us here. Sending all our best wishes to everyone at this sad time. …

Steve Borg, Truefitt & Hill

Over the past several years having had the pleasure knowing Cheryl, the word ‘positive’ always comes to mind, whether we were speaking over the phone or swapping emails back ‘n forth, put simply, Cheryl was always a delight to work with. Cheryl wasn’t the type of person to dwell on issues or problems, more one to solve and produce a practical solution to please all parties. Sometimes it felt as though she was working for Truefitt & Hill rather than Potter & Moore, such was her dedication to her role. When I think of Cheryl, it was her bubbly, outgoing nature that shone through, especially over the recent years. Please send my deepest condolences to Cheryl’s family, her friends, her work colleagues , and to everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. A wonderful human being who will be missed in all quarters. …

Please could I ask that you pass from us all at Truefitt & Hill, our deepest condolences to her family, please know that our thoughts and prayers are with Chery’s family at this heartbreaking time of sorrow. …

Cheryl you had such a beautiful personality, such a happy go lucky lady, always a cheery voice at the end of the telephone, so happy and bright, many a conversation about our customers had over the years and often a chat about us being ‘Mums of boys’, its been an absolute privilege to work alongside you as a colleague. Like so many others I will miss you, looking back at my last message from you right until the end you were offering support and advice to others, incredible and inspirational, what a role model. I know you will continue shining brightly, sleep tight, you were nothing shy of amazing until the end, so very lucky our paths crossed.     …

Dearest Cheryl, The circumstances around writing this makes me incredibly sad, especially as the world has lost such a special, kind, warm hearted, shining star of a human being! Although, just reminiscing of our time together as colleagues and friends starting from Broad Oak and then P&M makes me smile. From our trips away to see customers, our ridiculously hilarious chats in the office about the most random things, and our meals (mainly alcoholic drinks) out with the gang. You were always such a positive presence and  influence for everyone around you. Your silly sense of humour and infectious laugh was incredible, and much needed on many occasions when the team felt a little down or frustrated.  You will be sorely missed by anyone who had the pleasure of knowing you. And every time I see a miniature version of anything, or an exceptionally organised desk, I will think of you and smile. Rest in peace wonderful lady xx …

‘Cheryl with a Ch like Church’ is the sassy way Cheryl introduced herself to me from day one and I continued to call her ‘Cheryl with a Ch’ for the rest of our time together. Always amazing hair or scarves to match her amazing special soul. What an emotional journey of values, strength and hope you have taken us all on. We will miss you, until we meet again xx …

Cheryl, it has been a pleasure working with you. I will miss our random conversations, like the time you found out you can get potatoes in a tin.. The look of utter shock, surprise and disgust on your face was truly comical. You will be missed by many but never forgotten as you’ve touched so many of our lives with your strength, kindness and humour. Now fly high sweet and watch over your loved ones. …
