Ken Jeffries
My memories of Ann, my cousin, was when I was very young going to 50 School Street, Tirphil to visit my aunt Maud and Ann singing. Once song that sticks in my mind is “When I fall in Love” it reduced me to tears. My dad Ivor Jeffries was Ann’s uncle. We often visited Auntie Mauds and there was always laughter and singing. Auntie Maud on a Sunday would go into the front room and I was made to pump the harmonium, Auntie Maud would play and the girls would sing Welsh hymns. What memories. Although I hadn’t seen Ann for many years, the enduring memory for me is her wonderful singing voice. Heaven no has another voice in it’s choir. Love, Ken …
